Mythra Set To Record Brand New Studio Album For Release in Spring 2017.

mythrabandTop news NWOBHM-ers. Vince High from Mythra emailed in with the following excellent news that recording a new album is set to commence after signing with High Roller records. Here’s the “skinny” – thanks Vince.

MYTHRA have signed a recording deal with German label High Roller Records and are flying out to Poland in two weeks’ time to record a brand new studio album set for worldwide release in Spring 2017.

The album will be produced by Bart Gabriel, who also remastered the band’s current release, their Anthology album ‘Warriors Of Time’, which features tracks recorded between 1979 and 1982 along with five songs written and recorded last year following the band’s reunion performance at Brofest UK which attracted fans from across Europe, the USA and South America.

MYTHRA Vocalist Vince High commented that “We intend to stay true to our NWOBHM roots, as we did with last year’s recordings.  Tons of power and energy; twin lead guitar breaks, driving bass, thunderous drums and big choruses.  Everything fans would expect from a MYTHRA album.”

The band have been active on the underground Metal scene in recent months having played the legendary ‘Keep It True Festival’ in Germany, and also ‘Der Detze Rockt’ where they appeared alongside fellow NWOBHM stalwarts DIAMOND HEAD.

MYTHRA classics such as ‘Death And Destiny’, ‘Killer’ and ‘Machine’ continue to go down a storm with fans, alongside new songs including ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’, ‘Face In The Mirror’ and ‘You’.

There’s more live gigs to follow when MYTHRA return from recording in Poland, including Spain’s ‘Metalcova Festival’ in Barcelona in November where they will co-headline with DEMON.

The band have also been confirmed to play in Greece at the ‘Up The Hammers Festival’ in Athens in May of next year, with more European dates in the pipeline following release of the new album.
