New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Classic and Progressive Rock

Satan’s Fall “Seven Nights” demo streamed on Bandcamp

Satans-FallReceived an email a couple of days ago from Satan’s Fall asking if I’d check out their demo on Bandcamp.

If you haven’t heard of the band before (I hadn’t) they are from Helsinki, Finland and have been together since 2015 describing themselves as “heavily influenced by 80’s traditional heavy, speed and US power metal”.

I duly hopped on over to Bandcamp and gave Seven Nights a listen. As well as the influences the band give let me tell you there’s a lot of NWOBHM in there too. And that’s a good thing.

The three tracks which comprise Seven Nights are short, fast and loud. Just like NWOBHM/speed metal should be. It is plain where Satan’s Fall’s influences are as they shine through strongly. I found it to be a more than pleasant listen.

All three blast along apace not unlike a mixture of early Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Angel Witch.

Frantic riffing, meaty solos, solid rhythm section and some powerful vocals too. If you like your speed metal I’d think you’ll find this band friendly to your ear.

Get yourself on over to Bandcamp and give it a listen. A link is below to take your straight there so you can listen to the tree tracks via the stream.

If it does take your fancy there’s a limited edition vinyl version and I believe a proper CD version is due soon.

Thus, give yourself a few minutes to listen to Satan’s Fall. A new band with some meaty chops already.
