New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Classic and Progressive Rock

Upcoming NWOBHM Releases Round-Up

A busy few weeks ahead for us New Wave of British Heavy Metal aficionados with a slew of new releases to look forward to through to the end of June.

Albums are due from (in no particular order) a Dragonfly retrospective (remember them?), Tygers of Pan Tang, Raven, Millennium, Trespass and Weapon.

Dragonfly were around at the birth of NWOBHM featuring at the legendary Ruskin Arms. A very limited edition EP was about it for the band back then. Now the Silent Nights album contains the EP and various demos. It’s due out on 21 April:

The Tygers of Pan Tang have their latest – Bloodlines – due out on 5 May. They continue to knock out the good stuff just like they have done over the decades. Check out the video for Edge of the World:

Is that not good and then some? Order here:

Trespass have Wolf at the Door due out on 26 May. Their previous album Footprints in the Rock was a killer. No reason to think Wolf at the Door won’t be just as good.

Millennium have The Sign of Evil due out on 19 May. Good to see them still kicking around and releasing new stuff:

Weapon have their new on New Clear Power due out also on 19 May via Pride and Joy Records:

Then towards the end of June the new one from Raven is due titled All Hell’s Breaking Loose. Sure to be one to look forward to given Gallagher brothers style.

That’s half a dozen New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands past and present to look forward to over the next few weeks.

Naturally I have them all on order and will post up reviews of each as they arrive.
