Firing Squad Nuclear Holiday NWOBHM Limited Edition CD

Firing Squad Nuclear HolidayOnce more the Obscure NWOBHM Releases label somehow pull out yet another rabbit out of the hat from the old days.

This time it’s a band called Firing Squad. So obscure is this one I can neither recall or find out much about them at all.

Apparently Firing Squad were from the Liverpool area (New Wave of Scouse Heavy Metal?) and lasted for three or four years in the early 1980s before splitting without making too much of a mark.

A three track demo then a single was it and then they were gone.

Now Obscure NWOBHM Releases have rediscovered Firing Squad somehow and put together an anthology of the band’s stuff including some songs the band recorded though not released until now.

It’s titled Nuclear Holiday and as usual with the label, it’s a limited run of 500 CDs.

Here’s Jack the Ripper from the early demo. Straight ahead enough. Quite a jaunty riff and quite catchy with a nifty solo.

If you fancy one of those 500 CDs, here’s the link to the label.

Wonder who they’ll turn up next form the NWOBHM days?
