I’ve been in contact with Danny Hynes from Weapon who tells me that the band have a new album in the can and have some gigs arranged. Great to have a NWOBHM original back in action. Here’s what Danny has to say:
“Weapon recently finished recording their new, self produced, album at Scream Studios, Croydon which is currently being mixed at Muse Studios, Atlanta, Georgia by Londoner, Andy Reilly, who’s previously worked with Bon Jovi, Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden, Cradle of Filth, Moonspell, Ronnie Wood, Gary Numan and my ‘other band’ Paddy Goes To Holyhead + many others!
With a few record companies already interested, we hope to have it released sometime in September/ October to tie in with a support slot on a major tour, t.b.c.! Meanwhile we have the following dates confirmed:”
