The relentless uncovering/rediscovering of long lost New Wave of British Heavy Metal era bands continues.
The latest being TNT. Remember them? Not to be confused with the TNT from Norway…..
No Remorse Records are set to release an anthology of TNT’s old stuff including some live tracks.
TNT were from the Margate area of Kent being active for a few short years in the early 1980s. Yet another enthusiastic bunch joining the burgeoning NWOBHM scene trying to make a mark.
Unfortunately for them, it didn’t quite work out like that.
They had a track on one of the many compilation albums which regularly appeared back then.
That seemed to attract the attention of legendary NWOBHM-related label Neat Records who had the likes of Raven, White Spirit, Fist and others in their stable at one time or another.
That resulted in the solitary single of Back on the Road Again in 1984. However that was that for TNT and they fell off the radar.
The single is not without promise. Here it is together with the B-side of Rockin’ the Night.
This upcoming anthology contains sixteen tracks including that solitary single, the track on that compilation album and various other songs (I assume demos) and those three live cuts.
The release date is scheduled for 26th June – a month from date of posting. It’s available for pre-order from No Remorse Records in Greece though other outlets available such as Sonic Age Records.
