I’ve been sent the following press release about a heavy metal band called Cavorts. A new one for me though they are from my “neck of the woods” so here’s what the press release has to say. Can’t be that bad as they are about go hit the road with Dragonforce.
Their first ever gig saw Cavorts share the stage with Skindred, Therapy? and Black Spiders on the Jagermeister Music Tour 2012. Now, they’ve been hand-picked to tour the UK this fall with the almighty DragonForce at some of the biggest venues in the country. Clearly already making a big impression on the industry at large, it’s pretty hard to believe the UK’s Cavorts have only been on the scene for mere months.
Capturing the hi-octane, balls-out spirit of rock and roll championed by the likes of underground stalwarts The Bronx and Cancer Bats, these four rowdy lads worship at the altar of the riff, perfecting punk with that grooved-out Southern flair, making for party anthems you can sink your teeth into, loud enough to blow the speakers… literally.
Their debut EP, ‘Times Told’, was recorded and produced by the renowned Steve Ellis (3 Stages Of Pain, Errander, Steel Trees). The first single, ‘Pig of Ballast’, was mixed by Jason Sanderson who has previously worked with Rolo Tomassi, 65 Days Of Static, and Ginger Wildheart, to name but a few. Set for release this fall, it’s just a taste of what Cavorts have in store: it’s already been one hell of a ride and to think, they’re only just getting started.
