New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Classic and Progressive Rock

More to Release New Album Destructor on March 6th

More DestructorWho remembers More from back in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal days of the early 1980s?

That superb debut album of Warhead in 1981 followed by the equally good Blood and Thunder in 1982 then that seemed to be that. However, they’ve popped up since occasionally here and there at festivals and similar.

And now the big news is that forty four years after Blood and Thunder, More will release a new album titled Destructor on 6th March 2026. Something to look forward to eh?

The back story being that the album was recoded a few years ago when More worked with that well known producer Chris Tsangarides. For whatever reason, it wasn’t released back then. And of course Chris passed away in 2017.

Chris delivered the last mix of Destructor just before he died. That mix being subsequently rediscovered and acquired by More bassist Baz Nicholls. Now all is set for the album to be released on 6th March 2026 – about two months from today (10th January 2026).

For a taster, here’s Rocquiem. A banger of a track retaining the NWOBHM roots with plenty of power and presence.

For the release of Destructor, More have formed their own label.

There is a limited edition signed CD which is available to order now directly from More’s online store.

I’ve ordered a CD. If you prefer that format, you can do that here:

For you digital types, Destructor can be “pre-saved” whatever that means. The digital version is listed for pre-order on Amazon Music here:

No doubt other digital platforms will have it, though all that remains a mystery to me being an old fashioned physical product bloke.

I will post a review of the album once it arrives.
