The magnificent Tygers of Pan Tang are set to give us a slab of New Wave of British Heavy Metal nirvana with the release of their new album on 11 September 2026 via Mighty Music.
It is titled Electrifyed and we are promised that they are returning to a heavier and more aggressive sound while retaining the melodic identity that has defined the them throughout their career.
Based on the two singles which have been released ahead of the album, that statement is accurate. Also vocalist Jack Meille has said that the recording mantra was “the heavier the better.”
Electrifyed also sees the first appearance of new guitarist John Footitt.
Bar that mid-1980s major blip of The Wrek-age and Burning in the Shade, the Tygers have consistently hit the spot.
We can all think back to the early 1980s and such classics as Wild Cat, Spellbound and Crazy Nights. And their more recent studio offerings of Ritual and Bloodlines are both top notch.

Electrifyed will be released on LP (black vinyl, blue vinyl with white splatter and orange vinyl with blue splatter, each limited to 500 copies) and also in CD and digital formats
