New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Classic and Progressive Rock

Vine Messiah – In The Line Of Fire.

When I received an email the other day from Vine Messiah saying: “we were there the first time round. And now we’re back. New band new sound” my curiosity was certainly raised as to be honest I’d not heard of the band before even if my recollections from the NWOBHM days might not be as sharp as they once were.

Anyway – I had a look at the band’s web site and viewed the video for their new song In The Line Of Fire. And dammed good it is too. A very tidy riff which grabs you from the start and keeps chugging along overlayed by some clever but not over-blown guitar work all very solidly put together.

Reminds me a little of Kooga (who remembers them then…….!) in some ways and early Bad Company in others. Even a little UFO-like which can’t be a bad thing. New Wave of British Heavy Metal undertones as well not unlike Tytan.

Have a look and listen for yourself by watching the video below. If their other stuff is as good as this then we’re in for a fine album if one appears.

But just who are Vine Messiah?

I’m told that the current line-up played in many different bands over the years though had not played together for some time. Then recently they all got a bit “itchy” to get back in to it so put the band together.

So then it was straight in to the studio to write and record with the video you see above being their first.

Now Vine Messiah is looking for a management deal and rehearsing for some shows. And all in all having a good time getting “back in the saddle.”

I wish them all the best – In The Line Of Fire is a cracking song and I certainly look forward to hearing more. To learn more about Vine Messiah please vist http://www.vinemessiah.com
