Soldier To Play At The 2012 British Steel Festival.

Soldier are pleased to announce they will be playing at the British Steel Festival at The Underworld, Camden, London on 31st March 2012. There will be a warm up gig at The King Billy, Northampton c/w support on Thursday 29th March 2012.

2012 is the 30th anniversary of their vinyl release Sheralee and this song will certainly be featured in the set list. The band will be going into the studio to record a new album entitled Bedlam in early 2012. The album to be recorded at Parlour studios This will be Soldier’s most metal album to date with song collaboration between original guitarist Ian Alan Dick and new vocalist Richard Frost. The new songs will also feature a lot more 2 part harmony guitar now that 2nd guitarist Miles Goodman has joined the band

Also in 2012 the band will be relaunching a completely revamped website and live gigs to be recorded for a future release of a live cd Live forces 2. Soldier new line up is:

Ian Alan Dick – guitar
Steve Barlow – bass
Miles Goodman – guitar
Alex Smith – drums
Richard Frost – vocals

Now I don’t recall Soldier from the original NWOBHM days so I did a trawl of YouTube and found this video of them performing Sheralee all the way back in 1982. Not half bad either. See and hear for yourself. Here’s the video.
